ANC Schedule
First trimester (before 14 weeks): First visit as soon as pregnancy confirmed. Folic acid 400mcg, dating scan, blood group, Hb, urine, VDRL, HIV, HBsAg.
Second trimester (14-28 weeks): Visit at 16 weeks, 20 weeks (anomaly scan), 24 weeks (glucose tolerance).
Third trimester (28-40 weeks): Monthly till 36 weeks, then weekly.
Essential Investigations
Hb (every visit), Blood group & Rh, VDRL, HIV, HBsAg, Urine R&M, Ultrasound dating, Anomaly scan, GTT at 24-28 weeks.
Warning Signs
Bleeding PV, severe headache, visual disturbances, epigastric pain, reduced fetal movements, severe vomiting.
