Morning Block (6 AM - 10 AM)
Highest concentration period. Tackle the hardest subject first. Read standard textbook, solve 50 PYQs on that topic. No social media, no phone.
Midday Block (10 AM - 2 PM)
Second subject. Mix reading with video lectures if concepts are unclear. Take 15-minute breaks every 45 minutes (Pomodoro technique).
Afternoon Block (2 PM - 6 PM)
Light revision of previously covered topics. Flashcards, one-liners, mnemonics. This is also the time for writing answers and diagrams (important for UPSC CMS descriptive portion prep).
Evening Block (6 PM - 9 PM)
Mock test (on test days) or full revision of the day's topics. Review mistakes. Plan tomorrow's topics. 30 minutes of physical activity before dinner.

Frequently asked questions
Do NEET PG toppers really study 16 hours a day?
No. The most successful candidates study 6-8 quality hours daily. The myth of 16-hour days is harmful — sleep deprivation impairs memory consolidation and reduces retention by up to 40%.
What time do toppers wake up?
Most rankers wake between 5:30-7:00 AM. They use early morning hours for the most difficult subject (when concentration peaks) and save lighter tasks for afternoon.
How many mock tests do NEET PG toppers take?
2-3 mock tests per week in the final 3 months. Total of 30-50 full mock tests across the preparation period, with detailed analysis after each one.
